The stainless steel versa brush is ideal for brush washing parsnips.  

For ease and economy of brush replacement, each row of brushes is made up of 100mm segments, which can be replaced individually or entirely, as required. In order to facilitate brush replacement, the brush shafts are bolted into stub shafts at each end, and can be removed from the machine simply and without any major dis-assembly.

Mounted at each end of the brush shaft are quadruple groove vee pulleys, driven by two heavy duty drives. The whole barrel assembly is then driven by a separate, heavy duty motor.

Both the brush speed and the barrel speed can be adjusted independently to reflect the degree of cleaning and polishing required. The machine is also fitted with an adjustable outlet door.

The whole VersaBrush unit is mounted over a heavy duty, painted, mild steel tank which incorporates a filter system and a recirculation pump which delivers water to two spray bars.

The first of these spray bars is mounted inside the barrel to assist in the crop cleaning process whilst the second is mounted outside the barrel in order to keep the brushes clean.

There is also a fresh water rinse bar mounted at the outlet end of the barrel.

Mounted in the bottom of the tank is a 4" outlet valve to facilitate emptying the tank.
