Rubber covered links with gaps between them are an ideal solution for gentle separation of soil from delicate tubers. 

Two motors control the feed of potatoes to the barrel washer. One controls the forward speed of the web and another the amount of vibration given to the web.

This is a high frequency vibration which gently shakes the crop and removes the loose soil.
