SKIPS NOW IN STAINLESS STEEL
A new range of self-tipping stainless steel skips — ideal for collecting general waste at food
processing plants — is being introduced by Tong Engineering , of Spilsby, Lincolnshire.
Tong Engineering, which has an established customer base in the farming sector, is now
supplying the building and recycling industries and also the food processing sector. "We are
receiving orders for stainless steel and galvanised construction from food processors and we
feel that there is potential for us to develop our range further to provide for their very specific
needs" says Edward Tong.
The skips fit most forklifts and have the benefit of entry points on three sides, making them
easy to manoeuvre in awkward areas. A single lever action discharges the load and
returns to position automatically.
The standard models have a 0.75 cubic metre and 1.35 cubic metre capacity.
Tong Engineering has a flexible approach to manufacture, and is keen to develop exactly
what individual food processors requires, with ‘specials’ undertaken to order.
